The Radian Talon 45/90 2-Lever ambi safety selector kit in Flat Dark Earth gives your rifle a genuinely better control, not just a colored one. FDE looks good on a tan build, but the reason to buy this part is what it does under your thumb. Radian engineered it to solve two separate problems at once.
The first problem is throw angle. The second is that most ambidextrous safeties hang their levers on screws that eventually let go.
The Radian Talon 45/90 2-Lever Kit in Flat Dark Earth
The modular core lets you configure the selector as a 90 degree standard throw or a 45 degree short throw simply by rotating the shaft 180 degrees inside the lower receiver. You can run the classic feel or the faster short throw without buying different parts or committing at checkout.
The kit ships with two levers, one short and one long, so you can tailor each side of the receiver to your thumb and your shooting style. That is more useful than it sounds once you start shooting from barricades and awkward positions.
A short lever on the trigger finger side keeps your knuckle from riding the paddle, while a long lever under the firing thumb gives you a positive shelf to sweep. The FDE finish then ties a tan or earth toned build together without the mismatched look of a black control on a Coyote receiver.
The kit is also easy to reconfigure later. If your grip changes because you added a new optic or a different stock, the levers swap between sides in minutes with no fasteners involved.

Specifications and Fitment
The lever attachment is the standout specification. A precision machined dovetail with a spring loaded retention stud eliminates the tiny screws that loosen and break on lesser selectors, and it does so without asking you to carry a torque driver and thread locker to the range.
Material is aircraft grade aluminum, which keeps the levers light enough that they do not add noticeable mass to the controls while staying strong at the dovetail. The Flat Dark Earth finish is applied cleanly and evenly, which matters when you are matching it to other FDE furniture.
Finish consistency is worth mentioning on a colored part. Coyote and FDE components from different makers rarely match, and the Radian Talon 45/90 2-Lever kit benefits from anodizing done in house rather than farmed out.
Compatibility is wide, covering most semi automatic AR-15 and AR-10 or SR25 pattern rifles along with MCX and MPX platforms. Pair it with anything from our build kits and receivers selection and the fitment questions largely take care of themselves.
Installation and Long Term Use
Decide your throw angle before installation, because the 45 or 90 degree choice is made by the orientation of the shaft as it goes into the receiver. Getting it right the first time saves a second teardown.
Insert the shaft, seat each lever onto its dovetail until the retention stud snaps in, then reinstall the detent and spring. Function check the safety carefully with the rifle unloaded, confirming it blocks the trigger in safe and releases cleanly to fire from both sides.
Do the function check thoroughly and repeat it every time you reassemble the lower. Confirm the trigger will not release with the selector on safe, then confirm it fires cleanly in the fire position from both sides.
There is very little to maintain. Wipe the levers during cleaning, keep grit out of the detent channel and give the shaft a drop of oil now and then. Radian’s machining and finish quality are the standard others chase, and the part holds up to years of manipulation without developing slop.
Choose your throw, choose your levers and let the Radian Talon 45/90 2-Lever kit replace the factory control for good. Ships direct to your door, no FFL required.
