The Radian Talon 45/90 two lever kit is an ambidextrous safety selector that gives your rifle two throw options in one precision made package, finished here in grey. Grey is the quiet choice, a step away from plain black without shouting for attention on the receiver. Underneath the finish is a control that fixes the two things people complain about with ambi safeties.
Complaint one is that a 90 degree throw is slow for competition and a 45 degree throw feels unfamiliar to shooters trained on the standard sweep. This kit refuses to pick a side.
Complaint two is that ambidextrous levers tend to dig into a knuckle or a support hand. Two included profiles and a dovetail system that swaps in minutes let you fix that without buying anything else.
Configuring the Radian Talon 45/90 in Grey
The modular design lets you set the selector up as a traditional 90 degree standard throw or a 45 degree short throw simply by rotating the shaft 180 degrees inside the lower receiver, with no extra parts required. You make the choice at install time and you can change your mind later.
The kit includes both a short and a long lever, so you can set up the strong side and weak side exactly the way your grip and your manual of arms prefer. That is a real advantage for shooters who train support side or who run a high thumbs forward grip.
Mix the levers however you like. Long on the firing thumb and short on the knuckle side is the common setup, but nothing stops you from running two of the same profile if that suits your hands better.

Specifications and Build Details
Radian‘s attachment system is the detail that wins people over. Each lever mounts through a precision machined dovetail interface secured by a spring loaded retention stud, eliminating the tiny screws that loosen and back out on lesser ambidextrous selectors and ensuring a secure connection for long lasting performance.
Material is aircraft grade aluminum, chosen for a strong dovetail without adding meaningful weight to the controls. The grey finish is applied evenly and pairs well with tungsten, wolf grey and stainless accented builds.
Anodized grey also hides wear better than black on a control that gets touched constantly. Black anodizing shows contact polish quickly, while the grey finish on this Radian Talon 45/90 ages more gracefully across a few thousand manipulations.
Compatibility is broad, covering most semi automatic AR-15 and AR-10 or SR25 pattern rifles as well as MCX and MPX platforms, which makes this an easy standardization choice across a whole safe of guns. Standardizing controls across rifles is one of the cheapest training advantages available, and our build kits and receivers section covers the rest of the parts you need.
Installing and Living With It
Choose your throw angle before the shaft goes in, since the orientation sets 45 or 90 degrees. Then fit each lever onto its dovetail until the spring loaded stud clicks fully home.
Reinstall the detent and spring, reassemble the lower and function check carefully with the rifle unloaded. Verify positive trigger blocking in safe, clean rotation from both sides and no interference with your grip or trigger finger.
Take a minute to dry practice after installation. The right lever combination becomes obvious within a few repetitions, and it is far better to discover a knuckle conflict at home than halfway through a class.
Upkeep is close to zero. Keep the detent channel clean, lubricate the shaft lightly during normal cleaning and inspect lever seating occasionally. It is a small part that meaningfully upgrades every manipulation, and it will outlast most of the components around it.
Two throws, two levers and one Radian Talon 45/90 you install once. Ships direct to your door, no FFL required.
