1911 owners and anyone else shooting .45 ACP. 230 grain is the weight John Browning’s cartridge was designed around in 1904, and it remains the standard. A heavy bullet moving slowly is what gives the .45 its characteristic slow shove rather than a sharp crack.

Round nose FMJ is the shape 1911 magazines and feed ramps were designed for, so this is about as reliable as .45 ACP gets.
