The Bravo Company Gunfighter Vertical Grip Mod 3 for 1913 rails in Flat Dark Earth is built for shooters who demand enhanced weapon control in a lightweight, compact package. Designed to mount securely on MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails, this Bravo Company Gunfighter Vertical grip offers an ergonomic forward rake that promotes a natural wrist position and improved recoil management. It is molded from reinforced polymer in a Flat Dark Earth finish. Outpost Firearms stocks it for FDE themed rifle builds.

What the Bravo Company Gunfighter Vertical Grip Mod 3 Does

A vertical grip is not just something to hold. It gives your support hand a defined index point on the rifle, which means your grip pressure and hand position repeat exactly the same way every time you shoulder the gun. Consistency in the support hand is one of the quiet drivers of consistent shooting.

The Mod 3 uses a reduced angle rather than a fully vertical profile. That reduced angle is ideal for modern shooting techniques, including thumb over bore and C-clamp styles that demand forward hand placement. If you shoot with your support hand well out on the handguard, a traditional upright grip fights you and a raked grip works with you.

Features

  • Molded reinforced polymer construction for durability at very low weight
  • Flat Dark Earth finish matched to FDE themed rifle builds
  • Mounts to MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails
  • Ergonomic forward rake promoting a natural wrist position
  • Steel cross-bolt mounting system for rock solid attachment under recoil
  • Low profile shape supporting a high grip stance with good retention leverage

Materials, Mounting, and Texture

Reinforced polymer is the correct material for a grip. It is light, it does not conduct heat from a hot handguard into your hand, it does not corrode, and it has enough give to be comfortable through a long string of fire. Aluminum grips look impressive and feel worse after twenty minutes.

The molded grip texture provides purchase without being aggressive enough to chew up bare hands. That balance matters because a texture that only works with gloves is a texture that fails on a summer range day, and a texture that is comfortable but slick fails when your hands are wet.

Installation is fast and secure using a steel cross-bolt mounting system that ensures rock solid attachment under recoil and extended use. Steel hardware in a polymer body is the right combination, because the clamping load goes through metal while the body stays light.

Setup, Technique, and Care

Position is everything with a vertical grip. Start with it roughly where your support hand naturally falls when you shoulder the rifle with your eyes closed, then adjust an inch at a time. Too far forward and you lose leverage, too far back and you crowd the magwell.

Use the grip as an index and a stop rather than something to pull down on hard. Modern technique favors pulling the rifle rearward into the shoulder while driving forward with the support hand, and the low profile shape here provides sufficient leverage for weapon retention during movement or support-hand transitions.

Care is close to nothing. Wipe it down when you clean the rifle, check the cross-bolt tension every few range sessions since anything on a rail can creep under recoil, and keep solvents off the polymer for long periods. FDE finishes can lighten with heavy UV exposure, so store the rifle out of direct sun. Our parts and upgrades category carries matching FDE furniture, and Bravo Company documents the full Gunfighter range.

Small Part, Big Effect

Handling improvements are among the most underrated upgrades in rifle building because they do not show up on a spec sheet. A Bravo Company Gunfighter Vertical grip makes the rifle feel like it belongs to you, and that confidence shows up on the timer long before it shows up on paper.
