The Breek Arms AR10 WARHAMMER Micro Mod2 Charging Handle in grey is an incredibly affordable upgrade compared to other .308 charging handles on the market, and it gets there without sacrificing the quality Breek Arms is known for. Large-frame ARs need better charging handles than small-frame guns, and this is why.
Factory charging handles were designed for a different era of shooting. Optics, suppressors, and modern support-hand technique all put loads on a charging handle that the original design never anticipated.
What the Breek Arms AR10 WARHAMMER handle does
This is an ambidextrous-style extended latch charging handle built for .308 and 7.62 pattern AR-10 rifles. The Warhammer will substantially increase the usability of your large-frame AR as an easy drop-in upgrade with no gunsmithing involved.
The MICRO designation refers to the latch size. Smaller latches are specifically intended for use when shooting with gear, slings, or barriers, where a full-size latch catches on everything it passes.
Total latch width measures 2.40 inches, which is slightly wider than a standard charging handle width. That extra reach gives you leverage without turning the handle into a snag hazard on a plate carrier or a barricade.
Key features of the Breek Arms AR10 WARHAMMER Micro Mod2

- Low profile design that stays slim and sleek without sacrificing functionality.
- Mod2 relief cuts on the top and bottom of the stem that direct excess gas out the side.
- Drop-in installation on .308 and 7.62 pattern AR platforms.
Materials, gas management, and specifications
The 7075 aluminum construction is the specification that matters most on a large-frame gun. AR-10 pattern rifles generate significantly more bolt carrier energy than a 5.56 rifle, and cheap charging handles crack at the latch pin or bend at the stem under that load.
The Mod2 update is aimed squarely at gas blowback. Relief cuts on the top and bottom of the stem are designed to help direct extra gas out the side and away from your face, which is a real quality of life improvement on suppressed or over-gassed rifles.
Gas to the face is not just unpleasant. It carries carbon and lubricant vapor into your eyes at exactly the moment you are trying to shoot, and reducing it makes long strings behind a suppressor genuinely more comfortable.
The low profile design keeps the handle from adding visual bulk or catching on gear. Slim geometry combined with the wider latch reach means you get the mechanical advantage without the drawbacks that usually come with it.
Installation, use, and care
Installing the Breek Arms AR10 WARHAMMER is as simple as removing your upper receiver from the lower, sliding the factory handle out with the bolt carrier, and reversing the process with the new handle. No tools, no fitting, and no permanent changes to the rifle.
Practice using the extended latch with your support hand rather than your firing hand. Reaching over the top of the receiver and pulling straight back is faster and puts less lateral stress on the handle than a one-handed sideways pull.
Avoid using the charging handle as a forward assist. Riding it forward on a stubborn round is how bent stems and broken latch pins happen, regardless of what material the handle is made from.
Wipe carbon off the stem when you clean the bolt carrier group, since residue builds up along the channel and eventually makes the handle feel gritty. A dry wipe is usually enough, and heavy oil in that area only collects more fouling. Browse more charging handles, bolt carriers, and internals in our parts and upgrades collection.
Better material, better ergonomics, and less gas in your face for a very reasonable price is a hard combination to argue with. Breek Arms built this one right. Ships direct to your door, no FFL required.
