The Problem a Burris AR Eye Ready Mount Solves

AR pattern rifles create an eye relief problem that bolt guns do not. The flat top rail sits well behind where a traditional scope base would be on a hunting rifle, and the collapsible stock puts the shooter’s head in a different place. Why One Piece and Why 1 Inch

Single piece mounts remove a category of problems that two ring setups create. Rings mounted separately can be out of alignment with each other, and misaligned rings put stress on a scope tube that shows up as tracking errors or, at worst, a dented tube. Installation and Care

Clamp the mount to the rail before you install the optic, positioning it so the scope will land where your eye naturally sits. Check that position with the rifle shouldered and your eyes closed, then open them and see whether you have a full picture. Adjust before you tighten anything permanently.

Torque matters more than most people think. Overtightening ring screws can crush a scope tube and change how it tracks, while undertightening lets the optic creep under recoil and destroy your zero. Use a torque wrench and follow the manufacturer’s values, tightening ring caps in a cross pattern with even gaps on both sides.

Use blue thread locker on the rail clamping hardware, level the reticle carefully before final torque, and confirm zero after the first fifty rounds.
