Practical Use, Care, and Compatibility

Install the Magpul MBUS front sight on a standard Picatinny rail at the forward end of your handguard or gas block rail. Push the crossbolt through, snug the nut down evenly, and check that the sight deploys cleanly without contacting your handguard or any mounted accessories.

Zero the back up sights independently of your optic. A back up sight you have never zeroed is a decoration, not a backup, so spend the twenty rounds it takes to confirm it. Many shooters set irons at 50 yards for a practical AR zero.

Deploy and fold the sights periodically so the spring and detent stay free, and keep grit out of the hinge.
