People who want a hollow point at a working price. 124 grain is a sensible defensive weight in 9mm: heavy enough to penetrate properly, light enough to reach the velocity a hollow point needs in order to open.

That last point matters. A hollow point that arrives too slowly behaves like a round nose and does nothing useful.

Test it in your gun

Hollow points have a wider nose than full metal jacket and some pistols are fussy about feeding them, particularly older designs and very compact guns. Fire at least two full magazines without a single stoppage before this goes in a gun you’d depend on. If it hiccups even once, use something else.

Practice with the 124 grain FMJ instead. Same weight, much cheaper.
