Who it’s for

Lever gun hunters who want more penetration than a soft point gives, for big bodied deer, hogs and black bear. The TSX is a solid copper hollow point. It opens into petals and hangs on to nearly all of its weight, so it tends to go all the way through and leave a blood trail. That’s a real advantage in the thick cover where most .30-30s get used.

Flat nose for a reason

In a tube magazine each bullet rests against the primer of the round in front. A pointed bullet can set one off under recoil. Barnes gives this TSX a flat nose so it’s safe to load a full tube. Don’t swap in pointed spitzer ammunition just because it fits.
