AK-74 owners. Most 5.45×39 on the market is surplus steel case ball, which is fine for plinking and poor for anything else. Hornady Black is brass cased, consistently loaded, and uses a V-MAX bullet, which is a polymer tipped varmint projectile that comes apart violently on impact.

That makes this a genuine varmint and predator load in a caliber that rarely gets one.
