Confirm that the ranges and classes you’ll attend allow steel core ammunition. Plenty don’t, and finding that out after buying a case is an expensive surprise.

Keep it to 5.56 or .223 Wylde chambers. The pressure is higher than .223 Remington, so it doesn’t belong in a .223 only rifle.
